This software driver is designed to operate the SEA 9210 Multifunction I/O module with NI CompactRIO to measure analog and digital signals and interface digital sensors. The driver fully integrates the module into a LabVIEW project environment providing a comprehensive, but easy-to-use programming library (API) for LabVIEW including examples and manuals. The driver software requires the SEA 9210 Multifunction I/O module (sold separately from S.E.A).

Digital sensors often require an external power supply. For this purpose, the integrated and switchable (3.3 or 5 V) power source can be used, which obviates additional power sources and reduces cabling.

The module provides diagnostic supervision of CompactRIO and monitors the environment including system power or backup power supplies. It measures voltages, currents, power, temperatures and other digital sensors. The digital sensors are connected through isolated, high speed, full user-configurable FPGA digital inputs and outputs. Additionally, digital inputs and outputs can be used to read switches, generate alarm signals or control with other system components autonomously.
