Use the "Configure System" link above to configure an SCXI DAQ system based on this module.
The NI SCXI-1540 is an 8-channel linear-voltage differential transformer (LVDT) module that provides the necessary conditioning to measure signals from transformer-based ratiometric position sensors, including LVDTs, rotary variable differential transformers (RVDTs), and resolvers. The SCXI-1540 offers both 4- and 5-wire connections for LVDTs and RVDTs. In addition, this module provides autocalibration without external hardware using NI-DAQmx software. As part of an SCXI system, you can scan the analog input channels of the SCXI-1540 module along with other modules at rates up to 333 kS/s (3 µs per channel). Each of these modules can multiplex its signals into a single channel of the data acquisition device, and you can add modules to increase channel count. With random scanning capabilities, you acquire data from only the channels you select.
An SCXI chassis is required to house the SCXI modules. The NI SCXI-1000 chassis can hold up to four modules while the NI SCXI-1001 can hold up to 12. You can choose NI X Series, M Series, E Series, or S Series DAQ modules for controlling the chassis.
You have selected United States as the country where you will use the product(s)
National Instruments designs and manufactures all products to minimize failures, however unexpected failures can still occur. Extended warranties provide a fixed economical price at the time of system purchase, covering any repair costs for up to three years. In addition, they offer the following benefits:
Significant cost savings compared to individual repair incidents
Fault location, diagnostics, and repair by NI any time the system product fails
All parts and labor costs covered as well as any adjustments needed to restore the hardware to manufacturing specifications
NI recognizes the need to maintain properly calibrated devices for high-accuracy measurements. NI provides manual calibration procedures, services to recalibrate your products, and automated calibration software to calibrate many NI measurement products.
Return your registered product under warranty at no additional labor and parts cost. NI offers fault location, diagnostics, and repair any time the system fails as well as any adjustments needed to restore the hardware to manufacturing specifications.
