A Certified LabVIEW Embedded Systems Developer (CLED) demonstrates proficiency and expertise in analyzing requirements for and designing, developing, debugging, and deploying reliable mission-critical embedded control and monitoring applications based on NI CompactRIO, NI Single-Board RIO and/or NI R Series hardware. A CLED efficiently uses the NI LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA modules in accordance with NI-recommended best practices and software engineering principles to design modular, scalable, and maintainable embedded systems.
Prerequisites
-Valid CLD or CLA certification
-Completion of LabVIEW Real-Time 1, LabVIEW Real-Time 2: Architecting Embedded Systems, and LabVIEW FPGA training courses
Recommended Experience Level
-18 to 24 months of experience in developing medium- to large-scale LabVIEW control and monitoring applications with NI CompactRIO, NI Single-Board RIO, and/or NI R Series hardware
Certification Exam Details
-Format: A one hour multiple choice exam and a four hour application development section using NI Single-Board RIO hardware
-Duration: The two parts of the CLED exam can be taken in one 5 hour sitting or scheduled for separate days. The multiple choice exam must be passed before attempting the application development section.
-Location: NI branch office, training center, or on-site at your location
Recertification Exam Details
-Recertification interval: 2 years
