With the NI LabVIEW Touch Panel Module, you can quickly create and deploy human machine interface (HMI) applications to communicate with NI embedded real-time platforms such as Compact FieldPoint, CompactRIO, and Compact Vision System. These HMIs display data from and control autonomous, distributed real-time systems. The LabVIEW Touch Panel Module includes tools for user interface development as well as functions for communication, data analysis, and data storage.

The module is optimized for development and deployment to NI HMI hardware. Each National Instruments touch panel computer includes one LabVIEW Touch Panel Module deployment license; there is no additional deployment cost for large industrial systems.

Requirements for LabVIEW Touch Panel Module

In addition to the system requirements for the LabVIEW Development System, the Touch Panel Module has the following requirements:

  • LabVIEW 2012 Base, Full, or Professional Development System (32-bit)
  • At least 20 MB of disk space
  • (Windows CE) A Touch Panel device, such as the NI TPC-2006, running Windows CE 4.2 or 5.0
  • (Windows Embedded Standard) A Touch Panel device, such as the NI TPC-2512, running Windows Embedded Standard
