  • For new designs, NI recommends the NI 9481 Measurement System
  • Switches 30 VDC at 2 A and 60 VDC at 1 A
  • 4 electromechanical relay outputs
  • Plug-and-play connectivity via USB
  • 250 Vrms channel-to-earth ground isolation
  • NI-DAQmx driver software to simplify configuration and measurements

The National Instruments USB-9481 is a data acquisition module with integrated signal conditioning that provides plug-and-play connectivity via USB for faster setup and measurements. This module has four Form A electromechanical relays that can switch up to 30 VDC at 2A, 60 VDC at 1 A and 250 VAC at 2 A. Each channel also has an LED hardware indicator for the state of that channel. In addition, this module includes 250 Vrms channel-to-earth ground isolation for safety, noise immunity and high common-mode voltage range.

This USB data acquisition module is compatible with only Microsoft Windows OSs using NI-DAQmx driver software. Browse the information in the Resources tab to learn more about NI-DAQmx or download the driver. This USB data acquisition module is not compatible with the Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) driver.

Every NI USB data acquisition module includes a copy of NI LabVIEW SignalExpress LE so you can quickly acquire, analyze, and present data without programming. In addition to LabVIEW SignalExpress, USB data acquisition modules are compatible with the following versions (or later) of NI application software – LabVIEW 7.x, LabWindows™/CVI 7.x, or Measurement Studio 7.x; or LabVIEW with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module 7.1. USB data acquisition modules are also compatible with Visual Studio .NET, C/C++, and Visual Basic 6.

For applications that require a higher channel count, consider NI SCC or NI SCXI signal conditioning hardware.
