The NI Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS) features an integrated suite of 12 of the most commonly used instruments in the lab - including the oscilloscope, digital multimeter, function generator, variable power supply, and Bode analyzer - in a compact form factor for the lab or classroom demonstrations. Based on NI LabVIEW graphical system design software, NI ELVIS, with USB plug-and-play capabilities, offers the flexibility of virtual instrumentation and allows for quick and easy measurement acquisition and display.
The NI ELVIS Basic Bundle includes the following:
- NI ELVIS II workstation (100 MS/s oscilloscope option is available with NI ELVIS II+)
- NI-ELVISmx driver software
- LabVIEW Full Development System
- USB cable
For those teaching circuit theory and electronics, the NI ELVIS Circuit Design Bundle includes the above items and NI Multisim circuit capture and SPICE simulation software.
Additionally, educators can now add plug-in boards to extend the NI ELVIS platform to teach concepts in controls, telecommunications, fiber optics, embedded design, bioinstrumentation, digital electronics, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and more from third-party collaborators including Freescale, Emona, and Quanser.
