Researchers Use Graphical System Design for Development and Control of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles

The Challenge:
Developing a platform for easy integration of survey equipment and advanced control development for unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs).

The Solution:
Using National Instruments CompactRIO, Compact Vision System, and LabVIEW to create a mixed hardware/software tool to serve as a generic solution for system integration, testing, and implementation of advanced control algorithms for UUVs through rapid control prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop techniques.
