The SEA 9510 EnDat 2.2/2.1 Interface Module Driver is free software for LabVIEW. When combined with an SEA 9510 C Series module, it enables the integration of up to three EnDat 2.2/2.1 digital position encoders (sensors) into an NI CompactRIO system. The position data is determined simultaneously on all three channels at high data rates and with a high resolution.

The driver, based on the latest NI C Series Module Development Kit (MDK) framework, allows you to seamlessly integrate the SEA 9510 C Series module into the LabVIEW development environment, providing I/O, property, and method nodes for programming directly in LabVIEW FPGA. LabVIEW examples demonstrate the usage and are available through the Example Finder.

The driver software is intended to work with SEA 9510 C Series modules only. SEA 9510 modules can be purchased separately from the S.E.A. web shop. The measurement ports on the SEA 9510 are electrically isolated from the backplane by an isolation barrier. The 5 V DC power supply for the encoders (sensors) is provided through the M12 sockets. Encoders with different power supply requirements need to be supplied externally. Multiple SEA 9510 modules can be operated in a single NI CompactRIO FPGA chassis.
