National Instruments controller area network (CAN) interfaces are ideal for developing a wide variety of applications ranging from hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems to low-cost diagnostic, measurement, and calibration tools. Included feature-rich APIs simplify the development of cost-effective CAN tools with NI LabVIEW and other languages. Optional NI CAN toolkits add support for industry-specific protocol layers. You can choose from three types of NI CAN interfaces: high-performance NI-XNET CAN for PCI and PXI, low-cost USB CAN and LIN, and C Series CAN for the NI CompactRIO platform.
