In addition to controlling an SCXI switch chassis from an NI digital multimeter or NI 4021 switch controller, you now can use a standard USB port to control a single chassis or multichassis configuration of NI SCXI switch modules. Two USB Switch Mainframes (4 and 12-slot versions) are available to reduce out-of-the-box setup time, requiring you only to insert the desired SCXI switch modules and connect to a USB port to start switching. The NI USB-1359 communication adapter and USB-1357 and USB-1358 high-voltage backplane assemblies can add plug-and-play capability to an existing SCXI switch system or be combined with the NI SCXI-1000 or SCXI-1001 chassis in new system configurations.
