- Simulate linear, nonlinear, and discrete systems with a wide array of solvers
- Implement your dynamic systems with real-time I/O using built-in LabVIEW data acquisition functions
- Develop dynamic systems such as motor controllers and hydraulic simulators with LabVIEW
- Deploy dynamic systems to real-time hardware with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module
The NI LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module integrates dynamic system simulation into the LabVIEW environment. You can model linear, nonlinear, discrete, and continuous plant or control systems in block diagram form within the new simulation node. Create models from blocks such as integrator, derivative, and transfer function blocks and add graphs and controls to test the models. Alternatively, you can import models developed in the LabVIEW System Identification Toolkit. With the interactive nature of the LabVIEW tools, you can modify parameters while logging the results of the simulation. Models built with the simulation node can also seamlessly download to a real-time target with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module for control prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation.
The LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module includes one year of membership in the Standard Service Program (SSP) to help you make the most of your software investment. With an SSP membership, you can capitalize on the latest technology improvements through automatic software updates and maintenance releases and reduce your application development time with direct access to technical support from NI applications engineers via phone and e-mail. You also have access to special online, on-demand software training modules to learn more about features, application uses, and development best practices.
You can purchase the LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module separately or as part of NI Developer Suite, a modular product offering with which you can select software components based on your application needs. With an NI Developer Suite subscription, you receive a new set of CDs featuring the most recent software version for each product in the suite four times a year as well as direct access to technical support from NI applications engineers via phone and e-mail.
