Use SCXI Advisor to configure an SCXI data acquisition system based on this module.
The National Instruments SCXI-1142 is an 8-channel, programmable lowpass Bessel filter module, ideal for antialiasing applications. The architecture of this module consists of a programmable instrumentation amplifier and programmable 8th-order lowpass filter on each channel. Although all channels must be set to the same cutoff frequency, you can programmatically bypass the lowpass filter on a per-channel basis. By using a combination of analog filters and switched capacitor filters, you can achieve the flexibility of 10,000 discrete software-programmable cutoff frequencies while maintaining the low-noise performance of traditional, continuous time-active filters. An external clock input and output are also provided so that you can set the filter cutoff frequency with an external clock in tracking filter applications. The NISCXI-1142 conditions signals ranging from ±50 mV to ±5 V, and offers multiplexed and parallel modes of operation.
The SCXI-1600USB data acquisition module can be used in conjunction with this module to create a completely plug-and-play USB data acquisition system. An SCXI chassis is required to house the SCXI-1600 and assorted SCXI modules for a particular system. The SCXI-1000 chassis is capable of holding up to four modules while the SCXI-1001 can hold up to 12.
