National Instruments offers a variety of options for mounting 5B Series modules. We designed these options to offer you the optimal choice for your application. The 8 or 16-channel 5B Backplanes connect to the data acquisition device, providing assorted isolated signal conditioning on a channel-by-channel basis. You connect your I/O signals to the connectors in the carrier or backplane of your 5B system, not the modules. This makes it easy to swap or replace modules. The NI SC-2311 provides a shielded design with integrated power supply. In addition, it accepts both 5B analog and SSR digital signal conditioning modules. With the configurable connectors on the SC-2311, you can specify your connector type on a per-channel basis.
