National Instruments offers 32-channel SCXI modules that are organized into eight banks of four inputs each. Each bank is optically isolated from each other and from the SCXI chassis earth ground to a working voltage of 300 Vrms and a breakdown voltage of 2,300 Vrms. NI SCXI digital input modules can operate in multiplexed or parallel modes of operation, with the logical state of the 32 digital input channels placed into the 32-bit data register. NI SCXI digital output modules can operate in multiplexed or parallel modes of operation, with the state of the 32 digital output lines determined by the value of the 32-bit data register.
