The Power Electronics HIL Teaching Laboratory by OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES and NI provides a hardware and software bundle for teaching power electronics to university undergraduate students. The courseware offers modules that students can use to experiment and learn power electronics concepts, such as converters, rectifiers, and inverters. The labs include the control logic with both hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and rapid control prototyping (RCP) tools commonly used in innovative power electronics industry research and development.

The tutorial set is designed to add OPAL-RT software to the NI platform using the cRIO-9068 for the plant simulation and myRIO for control.
