Multifunction NI R Series Devices
NI R Series multifunction reconfigurable I/O (RIO) devices for USB feature a dedicated analog-to-digital converter (ADC) per channel for independent timing and triggering. This offers specialized functionality such as multirate sampling and individual channel triggering, which are outside the capabilities of typical DAQ hardware.
USB R Series multifunction RIO devices also feature 48 digital I/O lines that you can configure as either inputs, outputs, counters, or custom logic with speeds up to 80 MHz. These digital I/O lines also feature user-selectable logic levels from 1.2 V to 3.3 V.
USB R Series devices are built on Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGAs, which have the capacity and performance of previous-generation high-end FPGAs but at half the power. Because of this impressive reduction in power, these devices feature twice the digital signal processing (DSP) capability per device as the previous generation of R Series devices. With the increase in logic and DSP resources, you can implement more complex algorithms, through the more extensive use of signal processing and real-time analysis, and address the growing I/O data rates and complexity of today’s applications.
