The NI USB extension cable with retention is an excellent addition to any CompactRIO or stand-alone NI CompactDAQ system that supports a locking USB cable including the NI cRIO-9076, cRIO-902x, and cRIO-908x CompactRIO systems or the NI cDAQ-913x stand-alone NI CompactDAQ systems. The USB extension cable with retention is available in 0.5 m and 2 m lengths, and the USB A receptacle end can be either surface mounted or panel mounted. The USB A plug features a jackscrew that securely screws into the USB retention mount next to each USB port on supported CompactRIO and stand-alone NI CompactDAQ systems and meets requirements for Class I, Div/Zone 2 hazardous locations. The cable supports Hi-Speed USB 2.0 devices, but it is also backward compatible with USB 1.1 devices.
