Develop an Open, Custom Power Quality Measurement System
The LabVIEW Electrical Power Toolkit helps you develop a custom single- or three-phase power monitoring, metering, or quality analysis application. The following analysis functions are included with the Full edition of this toolkit:
-Magnitude of the supply voltage
-Supply voltage dips/swells
-Supply voltage unbalance
-Mains signaling voltage on the supply voltage
-Rapid voltage changes (RVCs)
-Measurement of under-deviation and over-deviation parameters
With the LabVIEW Electrical Power Toolkit, you combine the fixed standardized algorithms from the power industry with the custom capability of a full programming language and modular hardware. PMU Toolkit for CompactRIO
The Professional edition of the LabVIEW Electrical Power Toolkit, when combined with the NI 9467 GPS time synchronization module, adds C37.118-compliant PMU capability to a CompactRIO system.
Protection IP Toolkit for CompactRIO
The Professional edition of the LabVIEW Electrical Power Toolkit includes protection IP and examples for device numbers 50, 51, 27, and 59. In addition, you can create custom curves and logic with the software functions.
The LabVIEW Electrical Power Toolkit includes several example programs that are ready to compile and run. These are an effective starting point for custom applications because they show how to properly use the VIs on the toolkit's palettes.
NI recommends the cRIO-9068 or any of the controllers in the performance CompactRIO line along with an LX45/2M gate or larger FPGA-based chassis. Contact NI Sales for help in selecting the right chassis.
You can use the Full version of the LabVIEW Electrical Power Toolkit with NI-DAQmx devices by running the resampling VI on the host/Windows processor. Specific example programs for NI-DAQmx devices are included with the Full version of the toolkit.
