- Convert from RGB to HSL colorspace and back
- Programmatically generate nonrepeating color groups
- Brighten or darken any color
- Generate random colors
- Extract hue, saturation, or lightness planes of a color or an image
IMS HSL Tools convert from the RGB colorspace to the HSL colorspace and back. In the HSL colorspace, you can analyze, extract, or modify elements of color by their uses rather than their display components. This can be useful for programmatically generating a lighter or darker shade of a color in use, for generating colors to associate with any front panel control or VIs throughout an application, or for randomizing a color during run time. You can apply these VIs to a single color or use them to convert entire images or color arrays.
