This configuration of the NI Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS) has been defined specifically for teaching signals and systems in electrical and computer engineering curricula. It is ideal for university signal and systems and introduction to signal processing courses.

This bundle includes Emona SIGEx hardware for NI ELVIS, user documentation, a lab manual with 16 experiments, and software based on NI LabVIEW system design software. With the Emona SIGEx add-on, educators can take advantage of the NI ELVIS platform to teach concepts such as characterizing linear and nonlinear signals, understanding convolution, using poles and zeros in the Laplace domain, and sampling and aliasing with a hands-on experimental approach so students can understand the theory that they learn in the classroom.

The lab manual includes step-by-step instructions on each topic as well as references to topics in six of the top textbooks for signals and systems classes. The add-on features all of the required cables and accessories to make it easy for educators to set up and teach the concepts. NI ELVIS is a modular engineering educational laboratory platform developed specifically for academia. With its hands-on approach, educators can help students learn practical, experimental skills.
