NI 9795 C Series Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) Gateway

  • Elegantly add wireless I/O to your NI CompactRIO system
  • Data from WSN nodes is accessible from the host or within deployed CompactRIO applications
  • Insert into any slot in your CompactRIO chassis
  • Communicate with up to 36 WSN nodes per chassis
  • Configure Complete CompactRIO System
  • View Support Resources
The NI 9795 C Series wireless sensor network (WSN) gateway helps you easily and elegantly create complete wired and wireless measurement and control systems. It can plug into any slot in your CompactRIO chassis to deliver wireless connectivity to up to 36 deployed WSN nodes.

The NI 9795 shows up in your LabVIEW project just like other NI C Series modules but with WSN nodes and corresponding I/O variables autopopulated underneath the module. Through the NI RIO Scan Interface, WSN I/O data is transferred to your deployed LabVIEW Real-Time application, where you can integrate WSN I/O with the rest of your measurement and control system. WSN I/O is also available directly from the CompactRIO host machine.

Because the data is passed through the scan interface, you must use the NI 9795 only in CompactRIO chassis that are compatible with RSI.

At this time, you can use only one NI 9795 in each CompactRIO chassis. The NI 9795 requires the use of LabVIEW 2011 software and the LabVIEW 2011 Real-Time Module. In addition, NI-WSN and NI-RIO driver software are required to identify and use this C Series module.
