NI Ethernet-to-GPIB controllers and NI-488.2 driver software help you take advantage of network connectivity in instrument control applications. Using the NI GPIB-ENET/1000 or GPIB-ENET/100, networked computers can communicate with and control IEEE 488 devices from anywhere on an Ethernet-based (LAN) TCP/IP network. You can use the GPIB-ENET/1000 (Gigabit/100BASE-TX/10BASE-T) or the GPIB-ENET/100 (100BASE-TX/10BASE-T) to share a single GPIB test system among many networked users or to control several GPIB test systems from a single networked host computer.
Use the GPIB-ENET/1000 for newer applications because it has a more intuitive, password-protected Web interface and transfer rates of up to 4X faster than its predecessor, the GPIB-ENET/100.
