  • Access key analog-to-digital converter technology
  • Implement signal processing algorithms in the FPGA for hardware-accelerated measurement performance
  • Program in NI LabVIEW FPGA or traditional HDL languages

National Instruments programmable FPGA digitizers feature a variety of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with varying sample rates, resolutions, and channel counts. The modules, which include high-performance Xilinx field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), are the only digitizers on the market that you can program using either the NI LabVIEW FPGA Module or traditional HDL languages.

By combining an FPGA digitizer with an NI FlexRIO FPGA module, you can develop firmware to perform custom triggering or signal processing algorithms including fast Fourier transforms (FFTs), filtering, and peak detection. These products serve a wide variety of applications including ultrasound and other nondestructive testing, physics research, medical imaging, and software-defined radio. With the modular PXI platform, you can scale from just a few channels to hundreds, and you can integrate a variety of other instruments depending on your application needs.
