The NI Embedded Vision System is a fanless controller that combines industrial camera connectivity and open communication with the high performance and flexibility of a multicore processor.

The NI EVS-1463 is designed to process images from base-configuration Camera Link devices and multiple GigE Vision cameras. The Windows 7 operating system makes it possible to develop and modify inspections from the deployment hardware and to integrate with other software programs on the platform.

With a high digital I/O count, fast multicore processor performance, and a range of industrial communications options, the EVS-1463 can synchronize with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), and motion controllers for more complex, higher-speed inspections.

Like all NI vision hardware, you can configure the EVS-1463 with NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (AI) featuring an easy-to-use, menu-driven environment or with the NI Vision Development Module combined with NI LabVIEW software and text-based environments for applications that require a programmatic solution.
