The NI PXI-8252 is an IEEE 1394a interface for PXI/CompactPCI that operates natively in Windows and Real-Time OSs.
The IEEE 1394a standard, with up to 400 Mbits/s of bandwidth, is ideal for high-data-rate machine vision applications. The PXI-8252 acquires data from cameras through three IEEE 1394a camera input ports. Hubs connected to any of the ports allow acquisition from many more cameras.
