The NI electrical power measurement (EPM) system is a complete solution for monitoring power consumption. Applications for this system include power management, power usage from appliances, AC power monitoring, power quality monitoring, and power quality analysis.
Software
The NI EPM system comes with the easy-to-use NI LabVIEW graphical programming environment so you can customize the measurements you want to take with the hardware. You can add the NI Sound and Vibration Toolkit to LabVIEW to incorporate a collection of analysis and signal processing tools for microphone and/or accelerometer measurements.
Hardware
With the NI EPM system, you can achieve up to 300 Vrms and 5 Arms when measuring power consumption from different devices. You can use additional digital I/O modules for digital control with applications using either 5 V/TTL or 24 V industrial certified signals. You can incorporate other modules for different sensor measurements such as temperature and strain for the environment with the system.
The NI EPM system is based on the NI CompactDAQ platform, which provides the plug-and-play simplicity of USB to sensor and electrical measurements on the benchtop, in the field, and on the production line. By combining the ease of use and low cost of a data logger with the performance and flexibility of modular instrumentation, NI CompactDAQ delivers fast and accurate measurements in a small, simple, and affordable system. You can use the NI EPM system to take advantage of these benefits with additional hardware you can select for a specific functionality.
