The NI PXI-1042 eight-slot backplane is designed for a wide range of embedded, control, and test and measurement applications. It has seven PXI peripheral slots and one PXI controller slot that can accept up to a four-slot-wide controller. The PXI backplane is compatible with both PXI- and CompactPCI-compliant modules. The backplane features a low-jitter 10 MHz reference clock for device synchronization, and, by programmatically configuring the trigger routing modules on the backplane, you can route triggers between devices with ease.
