The NI LabVIEW Robotics Starter Kit is designed to help you prototype an autonomous system and quickly familiarize yourself with the capabilities of LabVIEW Robotics software and NI reconfigurable I/O (RIO) hardware. The evaluation software provides an optimized out-of-the-box experience so you can quickly and easily deploy your first autonomous application.
The LabVIEW Robotics Starter Kit includes an NI Single-Board RIO embedded controller that is mounted on top of a Pitsco TETRIX erector robot base. The NI Single-Board RIO controller is a low-cost embedded deployment solution based on the NI CompactRIO platform. This controller, which is powered by LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA technologies, integrates a real-time processor, reconfigurable field-programmable gate array (FPGA), and analog and digital I/O on a single board. You can expand the built-in analog and digital I/O using NI C Series modules.
After evaluating the software and hardware, you may purchase either the LabVIEW Robotics Module if you already own LabVIEW or the LabVIEW Robotics Software Bundle to get all of the software you need to design a sophisticated robotic system.
