NI AudioMASTER is a comprehensive set of audio test solutions for analog and digital audio validation and production test that provides performance otherwise found in only high-end audio analyzers.

Acoustical and Electroacoustical Tests
With the AudioMASTER hardware and software, you can perform acoustical and electroacoustical tests on loudspeakers, headsets, microphones, media players, and televisions by setting up coherent tests for synchronized acquisition and generation or noncoherents such as testing of media players, where audio output is independent (free-running) with respect to the acquisition instrumentation. AudioMASTER also features a calibration manager for use when using anechoic test chambers, artificial mouths, microphones, and other test system interfaces.

Digital Audio Testing
Using an NI PCI-7813R or PXI-7813R R Series device and the CB-2180 (two-input) or CB-2181 (one-output, one-input) digital audio accessory with the AudioMASTER software in TestStand, you can test the latest multimedia devices such as set-top boxes, DVD players, and home theater systems.

The CB-2180 provides two input channels, each with a software-selectable BNC for coaxial or TOSLINK for optical connection. The CB-2181 provides one input channel and one output channel, each with a software-selectable BNC for coaxial, TOSLINK for optical, or XLR for AES3 connection. You can connect up to four CB-218x modules to a single 7813R to simplify multi-device testing.

With AudioMASTER you can generate, acquire, and analyze S/PDIF signals encoded in linear PCM or AC-3 formats. In linear PCM mode, AudioMASTER supports two-channel formats with 8, 16, 20, or 24 bits per sample from 22 to 192 kHz sampling. In AC-3 mode, AudioMASTER supports configuration 5.1, where there are five full bandwidth channels represent right front, center, left front, right rear, and left rear plus one low bandwidth subwoofer channel, known as the low-frequency effect (LFE) channel.
