The NI cDAQ-9191 802.11b/g NI CompactDAQ chassis is certified for use with a 2 dBi omnidirectional antenna under Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 15. You may use this replacement antenna (part number 780704-01) or any other omnidirectional antenna with a gain of 2 dBi or less with your NI cDAQ-9191 wireless data acquisition (DAQ) device.
You can increase the transmission range of your NI Wi-Fi DAQ device by using a wireless access point (WAP) with high gain or directional antennae. Alternatively, you may use a wireless signal repeater, such as the MOXA AWK-3121, to extend the reach of your network.
