Interchangeable and customizable NI FlexRIO adapter modules define the physical inputs and outputs of an NI FlexRIO system. You have three options when selecting I/O adapter modules for NI FlexRIO systems:
1. NI FlexRIO adapter modules designed and supported by National Instruments
2. NI FlexRIO adapter modules and design services from third parties
3. Custom adapter modules you create with the NI FlexRIO Adapter MDK and your own printed circuit board (PCB) design tools
100 MHz Digital I/O Adapter Module from National Instruments
The NI 6581 high-speed digital adapter module offers 54 single-ended digital I/O lines with selectable voltage levels of 1.8, 2.5, and 3.3 V (5 V TTL-compatible) and can reference any external voltage reference from 1.8 to 5.5 V.
