Not recommended for new designs. NI recommends using the NI 9482.

The NI 9481 is a 4-channel, single-pole single-throw (SPST) sourcing digital output module for any CompactDAQ or CompactRIO chassis. Each channel provides access to an electromechanical relay for switching signals up to 30 VDC (2 A), 60 VDC (1 A), and 250 VAC (2 A) signals and features 250 Vrms channel-to-channel isolation. Each channel also has an LED that indicates the state of that channel. The NI 9481 directly connects to a wide array of industrial devices such as motors, actuators, and DC devices.

Note: The shock and vibration rating for the NI 9481 is limited compared with other CompactDAQ and CompactRIO devices because of the mechanical relays on the module. View the Operating Instructions and Specifications for details.
