Digital-only Single-Board RIO controllers integrate a real-time processor, a user-reconfigurable FPGA, and I/O on a single PCB. They feature a 667 MHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, an Artix-7 FPGA, and a RIO Mezzanine Card (RMC) connector. They offer a -40 °C to 85 °C local ambient operating temperature range along with a 9 VDC to 30 VDC power supply input range. They provide 512 MB of DRAM for embedded operation and 512 MB of nonvolatile memory for storing programs and data logging.

The controllers feature a built-in Gigabit Ethernet port you can use to conduct programmatic communication over the network. They also offer integrated CAN, RS232 serial, and USB ports for controlling peripheral devices.

The RMC connector is a high-density, high-throughput connector featuring 96 3.3 V single-ended digital I/O lines directly connected to the FPGA. It also accepts up to two C Series modules and additional peripherals. Develop a custom RMC to integrate your own specific analog I/O, digital I/O, communication capabilities, and signal conditioning by combining these components on a mating PCB.

The controllers are designed to be easily embedded into applications that require flexibility, reliability, and high performance. Single-Board RIO controllers are available in OEM quantities.
