The NI USB Digital I/O Power Supply is an optional accessory for use with the NI USB-6509. Use the power supply for additional sourcing current when driving multiple loads on digital output lines. You also can use it as a replacement power supply for NI CompactDAQ chassis. Included in the kit is a +12 VDC power supply with a Switchcraft S760K connector and a region-specific power cord.

Before installing the power supply, ensure that the data acquisition device is powered off by unplugging the USB cable. Do not remove the external +12 VDC power supply when the device is powered on (in other words, plugged in). Doing so may reboot the USB-6509 and cause device damage.
