The National Instruments PXI-2535 high-density FET switch matrix module features 544 crosspoints in a compact, single-slot, 3U PXI form factor. The NI PXI-2535 is configured as a 4x136 one-wire matrix. Because the module uses field effect transistor (FET) switch technology, it offers unique benefits such as unlimited switch lifetime, unlimited simultaneous connections, and switching speed as high as 50,000 crosspoints/s. These features make the PXI-2535 ideal for routing low-power DC signals in validation test systems of mass produced devices such as semiconductor chips and printed circuit boards (PCBs). Use the PXI-2535 with the NI PXI-4110 programmable power supply and the NI PXI-4071 7½-digit FlexDMM to build high-density automated test systems up to ±12 VDC/8 VAC.
Connecting Signals to the PXI-2535
The PXI-2535 breaks out switch connections into three VHDCI connectors. The upper left and right connectors mate with the 136 columns on the switch while the lower left connector mates with the four rows. The lower right connector, which also connects to the rows, is meant for matrix expansion. You can connect signals to the switch matrix using the SHC68-68 VHDCI to 68-pin SCSI cable and the TBX-68 screw-terminal block.
NI Switch Executive Switch Management Software
NI Switch Executive is an intelligent switch management and routing application. With NI Switch Executive, you gain increased development productivity by interactively configuring and naming switch modules, external connections, and signal routes. You also increase test code reuse and system performance with switch programming in conjunction with NI TestStand, LabVIEW, and Measurement Studio. Ultimately, NI Switch Executive simplifies switch system configuration and increases test performance, lowering your cost to test.
Reduce your setup time and total cost of ownership, and get a system you can use out of the box with National Instruments system assurance programs. System assurance programs include:
Installation and integration test of all individual hardware
Courtesy installation of system driver sets and application development environments
Three-year warranty and calibration coverage
Custom documentation plus a custom restore and startup utility
This service is only available for PXI, NI CompactRIO, and NI Compact FieldPoint systems.
National Instruments designs and manufactures all products to minimize failures, however unexpected failures can still occur. Extended warranties provide a fixed economical price at the time of system purchase, covering any repair costs for up to three years. In addition, they offer the following benefits:
Significant cost savings compared to individual repair incidents
Fault location, diagnostics, and repair by NI any time the system product fails
All parts and labor costs covered as well as any adjustments needed to restore the hardware to manufacturing specifications
NI recognizes the need to maintain properly calibrated devices for high-accuracy measurements. NI provides manual calibration procedures, services to recalibrate your products, and automated calibration software to calibrate many NI measurement products.
Return your registered product under warranty at no additional labor and parts cost. NI offers fault location, diagnostics, and repair any time the system fails as well as any adjustments needed to restore the hardware to manufacturing specifications.
