The National Instruments USB-4065 bus-powered USB digital multimeter (DMM) offers 6½-digit performance in a small, lightweight form factor. Its highly portable architecture is ideal for use in field monitoring and OEM applications as well as for saving space in the laboratory.
The NI USB-4065 provides 6½ digits of resolution at up to 10 readings per second and up to 3,000 readings per second at lower resolutions. With ±300 VDC/Vrms of isolation, current measurements up to 3 A, and 2- or 4-wire resistance measurements, the USB-4065 DMM delivers a complete solution for basic 6½-digit measurement needs.
Integration with Switching
You can easily integrate NI 4065 DMMs with stand-alone switching using the 4- or 12-slot USB Switch Mainframes from National Instruments. You can configure these switch systems, controllable from any available USB port on a PC or laptop computer, with more than 50 available SCXI switch topologies. Switching offers a simple method of channel expansion for data-logging systems based on NI 4065 DMMs.
This portable USB DMM complements the NI 4065 line of 6½-digit DMMs offered in the PCI, PCI Express, and PXI form factors. For higher-performance requirements, consider NI PXI-407x FlexDMM devices, which provide up to 7½ digits of resolution as well as LCR capability.
You need software to interface with your hardware and to collect, analyze, present, and store your measurements. This board is compatible with a variety of programming languages, including LabVIEW, C/C++, Visual Basic, and .NET. LabVIEW provides the easiest integration with all of your NI hardware and is recommended to maximize your hardware investment.
