The NI 8352 is a 1U rack-mount controller for PXI- or PXI Express-based systems. You can bundle this 19 in. rack-optimized server-class dual-core controller with a complete x4 NI MXI-Express kit for remote control of a PXI Express system with a sustained throughput of 798 MB/s. The NI 8352 features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2.4 GHz dual core), up to 4 GB of dual-channel DDR2 RAM, dual onboard gigabit Ethernet, 2 x 250 GB removable SATA II (RAID 0) hard drives, and optional 4 x 250 GB SATA II (RAID 0) configurations for high-speed streaming to disk. Install MXI-Express or MXI-4 remote control kits (kits not included) for PXI or PXI Express system control.
Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) Configurations The NI 8352 offers both RAID 0 (stripped) and RAID 1 (mirrored) configurations with two (standard) or four (optional) removable SATA II hard drives. A RAID 0 configuration increases the rate at which a computer can write data to and read data from disk by evenly distributing data among multiple hard drives, which is beneficial in applications that require high-speed streaming to disk. The NI 8352 is available with factory-configured RAID 0 configurations of 2 x 250 GB SATA II hard drives or 4 x 250 GB SATA II hard drives.
