The National Instruments MKD-1117 is a rack-mount drawer that contains a flip-up 17 in. high-brightness LCD monitor, 105-key English keyboard, and touchpad mouse. The NI MKD-1117 occupies 1U height in a 19 in. rack and has a steel construction. The drawer slides with thumb screws and self-locking rails to secure it in and out, respectively. The MKD-1117 is designed to be used with PXI systems, industrial PCs, and desktop PCs in rack-mounted automated and manufacturing test applications.
LCD Monitor The MKD-1117 flip-up monitor is a 17 in. high-brightness TFT LCD panel. The monitor has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024. The monitor includes standard VGA connectivity.
Keyboard and Touchpad Mouse The MKD-1117 English-language keyboard has 105 keys, and the mouse is a touchpad. The keyboard and mouse feature standard PS/2 connectivity, and an included USB-to-dual-PS/2 adapter cable provides USB connectivity to both the keyboard and mouse using a single USB port.
Rack Mounting Designed to be rack mounted, the MKD-1117 includes a complete rack-mount kit and occupies 1U height in a 19 in. rack. When used with a PXI system, the MKD-1117 must not block the chassis air outlets that are located on the top of the chassis. Thus, you should mount the MKD-1117 below the PXI chassis or at least 44.5 mm (1.75 in.) above the top of the PXI chassis.
