The NI PXI-2546 is a dual 4x1 high-frequency multiplexer switch module suited for routing signals from DC to 2.7 GHz in 50 Ω RF applications. It can switch up to 30 Vrms or 500 mA, with a maximum power rating of 10 W.

The multibank architecture of the PXI-2546 makes it ideal for test systems that require parallel operations such as RF stimulus-response testing. The module also provides excellent insertion loss, voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR), and isolation parameters to minimize signal degradation. You can use its onboard relay count tracking feature to predict relay lifetime and reduce unexpected system downtime.

Note: The bandwidth specification of a switch module is not an absolute specification and is determined by vendor standards. Although you can route higher-frequency signals through this switch module, they encounter more degradation than those at lower frequencies. To determine the best switch module for your application, refer to the insertion loss, VSWR, and isolation specifications of the product for the bandwidth you need. For more information on choosing the right RF switch for your application, review the “Guide to Selecting an RF Switch” under the Resources tab of this page.
