The NI USB-6525 is a bus-powered USB device with eight normally open solid-state relay outputs featuring 60 VDC/30 Vrms switching voltage and 500 mA/ch maximum switching current. The solid-state relay outputs are ideal for controlling pumps, valves, motors, and various other industrial actuators. The USB-6525 also features eight ±60 VDC channel-to-channel isolated digital inputs to read from industrial digital sensors. You can use one of the digital input channels as a 5 kHz, 32-bit counter for counting digital pulses and measuring frequency and pulse widths.
Isolated channels break ground loops and offer protection from noise and spikes on external signals. For added ease of use and reliability, the USB-6525 features built-in screw terminals and strain relief.
Industrial Feature Set
NI industrial digital I/O devices offer a set of high-reliability features designed to automate even the most demanding applications. Programmable power-up states provide safe operation when connected to pumps, valves, motors, and relays. Digital I/O watchdog timers detect computer or application crashes and ensure safe recovery. Change detection triggers your application and performs a read operation after a digital event with minimal processor usage. Programmable input filters eliminate glitches/spikes and remove noise.
Driver Software
The USB-6525 works with NI-DAQmx driver software, which features an easy-to-use and intuitive interface for programming. The device, which is compatible with NI LabVIEW, NI LabWindows™/CVI, ANSI C/C++, C#, Visual Basic .NET, and Visual Basic 6.0, works with Windows and LabVIEW Real-Time OSs.
The mark LabWindows is used under a license from Microsoft Corporation. Windows is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and other countries.
You need software to interface with your hardware and to collect, analyze, present, and store your measurements. This board is compatible with a variety of programming languages, including LabVIEW, C/C++, Visual Basic, and .NET. LabVIEW provides the easiest integration with all of your NI hardware and is recommended to maximize your hardware investment.
