You can use National Instruments motion controllers to control drives that accept position (p-) command mode or step (pulse) command input. Examples of such drives include Yaskawa Sigma II, Mitsubishi MR-J2S, and Panasonic Minas A. The National Instruments PCI-7390 4-axis position (pulse) command motion controller offers direct connectivity to these drives via vendor-specific accessories (NI MCA-7790). For PXI or CompactPCI computers, you also can use the NI PXI-733x stepper motion controllers to connect to such drives via a universal machine interface (NI UMI-7772 and NI UMI-7774).
