The National Instrument SHC68-H1X38 flying-lead cable is a shielded 50 Ω cable you can use to easily connect NI 6536/7, NI 654x, and NI 655x digital instruments directly to individual header pins or probe specific points in your designs. The flying-lead cable has paired signal and ground lines for each channel to preserve signal quality. Each signal and ground line is designed to plug directly into any 0.1 in. header connector.

The flying-lead cable provides connectivity similar to that of popular logic analyzers for those applications that demand quick probing and analysis of digital components or for environments where the hardware configuration constantly changes. Combined with a high-speed digital board and powerful software, such as NI LabVIEW or LabVIEW SignalExpress, you can easily and quickly analyze the behavior and characteristics of custom circuits and ICs. Along with providing analysis capabilities, the flying-lead cable and digital devices can be used as powerful pattern generators and stimulus-response instruments (NI 655x devices with digital ATE features).

Accessories for the flying-lead cable include IC clips (grabber clips), 4x2 header receptacles, and inline attenuators.
