National Instruments offers a range of PXI chassis to fit different applications from portable data acquisition to rack-mount or embedded test systems. The NI PXI-103x series offers a compact design with a smaller footprint than the larger 8, 14, and 18-slot systems as well as a low-cost solution for industrial applications. National Instruments PXI-1036 and PXI-1036DC chassis accept any 1 or 2-slot embedded controller. The efficient use of space in the PXI controller slot provides remote control system capacity for up to five peripheral modules from remote PC, making the PXI-1036 ideally suited for remote control applications. For embedded applications, the PXI-1036 accepts a PXI-8145 real-time controller for a complete portable industrial system.
