The PCI-8433/4 features high-speed communication with RS485 and RS422 devices at rates of up to 3,000 kbit/s and offers configurable baud rates for data transmissions between 57 baud and 3,000,000 baud to within 1 percent accuracy for nonstandard baud rates and 0.01 percent accuracy for standard baud rates.

The PCI-8433/4 includes four 10-pin modular jack to 9-pin D-Sub male cables to easily connect to standard serial devices.
