The NI PXI-5671 module is a 3-slot RF vector signal generator (VSG) that delivers signal generation from 250 kHz to 2.7 GHz, 20 MHz of real-time bandwidth, and up to 512 MB of memory. The onboard quadrature digital upconverter significantly extends waveform playback time and reduces the time required to compute and download waveform data by computing the waveform data using the onboard field-programmable gate array (FPGA). This functionality is ideal for engineers who require data streaming with rapid response time for software-defined radio (SDR) or faster download times for satellite radio applications. In addition, the PXI-5671 can generate custom and standard modulation formats including AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, MSK, GMSK, PSK, QPSK, PAM, and QAM.
The NI LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit accompanies the PXI-5671, providing functions and tools for signal generation, analysis, visualization, and processing of standard and custom digital and analog modulation formats.
The combined functionality of the PXI-5671 and the modulation toolkit delivers a highly flexible and powerful solution for scientific research, communications, consumer electronics, aerospace/defense, and semiconductor test applications as well as for emerging areas such as software-defined radio, radio-frequency identification (RFID), and wireless sensor networks.
System Assurance Programs
Reduce your setup time and total cost of ownership, and get a system you can use out of the box with National Instruments system assurance programs. System assurance programs include:
- Installation and integration test of all individual hardware
- Courtesy installation of system driver sets and application development environments
- Extended warranty and calibration coverage for up to five years
- Custom documentation plus a custom restore and startup utility
This service is only available for PXI, NI CompactRIO, and NI Compact FieldPoint systems.
National Instruments designs and manufactures all products to minimize failures, however unexpected failures can still occur. Extended warranties provide a fixed economical price at the time of system purchase, covering any repair costs for up to three years. In addition, they offer the following benefits:
- Significant cost savings compared to individual repair incidents
- Fault location, diagnostics, and repair by NI any time the system product fails
- All parts and labor costs covered as well as any adjustments needed to restore the hardware to manufacturing specifications
