The National Instruments FP-3000 is an intelligent network interface module that connects a node of up to nine FieldPoint I/O modules to a FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 (31.25 kb/s) network for distributed control applications. The FP-3000 module includes a full complement of instantiable Fieldbus function blocks, including AI, AO, DI, DO, CDO, PID, and Expression. The network module provides several diagnostic and autoconfiguration features to simplify installation, use, and maintenance. The NI FP-3000 can act as a Link-Active Scheduler (LAS) and manage all Fieldbus communications. For easy configuration and integration, you can use the AT-FBUS and PCMCIA-FBUS host interfaces for H1 Fieldbus and the accompanying host software, including the easy-to-use NI-FBUS Configurator and an OPC server for Fieldbus.
