Use SCXI Advisor to configure an SCXI data acquisition system based on this module.
The National Instruments SCXI-1162HV has 32 channels of optically isolated digital inputs, arranged in eight isolated banks of four input lines each. The NI SCXI-1162HV senses the presence of a wide range of AC or DC signals, from digital logic level signals up to 240 VAC/VDC signals. The optical isolation of the SCXI-1162HV eliminates ground-loop problems and isolates the host computer from damaging voltages. The SCXI-1162HV is programmed by the DAQ device serially over the SCXIbus. You can therefore easily integrate SCXI-1162HV modules into existing SCXI systems without additional DAQ devices or cabling. The SCXI-1162HV can also operate in parallel mode when cabled directly to a DIO device.
The SCXI-1600USB data acquisition module can be used in conjunction with this module to create a completely plug-and-play USB data acquisition system. An SCXI chassis is required to house the SCXI-1600 and assorted SCXI modules for a particular system. The SCXI-1000 chassis is capable of holding up to four modules while the SCXI-1001 can hold up to 12.
