The NI PCI-8431/8 is a high-performance, 8-port serial interface board for high-speed communication with RS485 or RS422 devices at rates of up to 3 Mbit/s. High-performance RS485 and RS422 interfaces are available in 2-, 4-, and 8-port versions. The PCI-8431/8 offers flexible baud rates for data transmissions between 57 bit/s and 3 Mbit/s to within 1 percent accuracy for nonstandard baud rates and 0.01 percent accuracy for standard baud rates.
