The National Instruments VXI-USB interface kit links any desktop or notebook computer to the VXIbus with the Universal Serial Bus (USB). With the NI VXI-USB, your external computer will perform as if it were plugged directly into the VXI backplane, giving it the capability of an embedded controller. Through USB 2.0 technology, the VXI-USB achieves a superior block throughput rate for word-serial (message-based) communication in comparison to IEEE 1394(FireWire)-to-VXI and GPIB-to-VXI interfaces. The VXIplug&play-compliant VXI-USB kit comes complete with the NI-VXI/NI-VISA for Windows XP/2000 to simplify your VXI system development. NI-VXI/NI-VISA software features intuitive tools for troubleshooting and debugging VXI systems and programming libraries compatible with hundreds of industry-standard instrument drivers.
