  • Direct digital synthesis clocking for excellent frequency resolution
  • 12-bit, 40 MS/s, with 16 KB memory
  • 16 MHz sine wave and TTL outputs
  • Reference clock input and output for multidevice synchronization
  • Linear, logarithmic, and burst sweeps with 4 trigger modes

National Instruments 5401 devices are full-featured 40 MS/s frequency generators for PCI and PXI. Direct digital synthesis (DDS) is used to precisely generate standard waveforms that are repetitive in nature, including sine, TTL, square, and triangular waveforms. Using the NI 5401 devices, you combine the power and capability of a stand-alone function generator with the flexibility and benefits of your host computer to create highly capable virtual instrumentation solutions.
